SUGGESTED GUIDELINES FOR BRIDGING THE GAP SERVICE POSITION:
-Suggested one year sobriety.
-One year term with a two year option.
-Attend monthly District meetings and make a written report to District.
-Keeps Bridging the Gap contact list updated.
-Do Orientation workshops as needed.
-Keeps Outpatient facilities informed of Bridging the Gap availability.
-Works with C.P.C./P.I. committee in doing presentations to treatment facilities.
-Become familiar with the Co-operation with Treatment Facilities workbook, try to incorporate ideas into your work.
-Keep in contact with Area Co-operation with Treatment Facilities chair for information on other Bridging the Gap
activities.
-Arranges contacts according to the suggested guidelines.
-Be willing to work with incoming chair.
-Become familiar with the Service Manual and Traditions.
-*If three consecutive unexcused District meetings are missed your position will be filled by someone else.
-Have a Service Sponsor.
